Hello, we are The GloveTrotters, active family and boomer travelers who have passionately explored North Carolina and beyond for the past eight years. We’re thrilled to welcome you to our continuing adventures, now based in the Sunshine State of Florida! . . . Welcome!

In each post, The GloveTrotters share our travel experiences through captivating Fun Facts, relevant Movies, and tons of Pictures taken on location. From walking the ancient streets of Rome, Boston, and Kuala Lumpur, to exploring the “hoodoos” of Bryce Canyon, the stunning coast of Maine, swimming with Manatees in Florida, hiking the majestic Great Smoky Mountains, and reveling in the magnificence of Iceland – our journey is ever-evolving.
While we’re excited to be exploring our new Florida home base, our deep love for North Carolina remains. For eight wonderful years, the Tar Heel State was our home, and we extensively explored its diverse offerings. From the world-renowned beaches and coastlines of the Outer Banks to the “Land of the Waterfalls” in the western mountains, North Carolina truly has something for everyone. We celebrated its vibrant urban entertainment in Raleigh and Charlotte, and reveled in its unparalleled outdoor activities. We continue to cherish and share our North Carolina adventures, which form a significant part of our blog’s history and heart.
Please enjoy!

We are proud to announce that The GloveTrotters have recently been named one of the Top 50 Baby Boomer Travel Blogs on the web by FeedSpot. We are honored to have earned a spot on this prestigious list and hopefully our travel adventures will attract even more followers in future.
Our love of travel stems from a passion for seeing unique cultures, people, and places outside of our day-to-day lives. The GloveTrotters have a philosophy of seeking new horizons, never returning to a place we’ve visited, despite incredible temptations (Sedona, Germany’s Rhine Valley, Grand Cayman). Not because they were disappointing, but because there are simply too many places we’ve yet to see and experience. We’re excited for where our future travels, from our new Florida home, will take us next. Please enjoy!
